When to book flights for Vancouver

If you are planning a fun-filled holiday trip to Vancouver then May is the cheapest month to fly while December is the most expensive. The city has two peak seasons which are summers and mid-winters so plan your holidays accordingly. July through August and mid-December through January the hotels and airfares have steep rise in prices and thus need to book them in advance. September-October and May-June make up the shoulder season so plan holidays around them.   • One of the best and cost-effective ways to explore the city of Vancouver is clean and safe public transport. The Skytrain, a monorail system is the fastest way to get around. Buses are also regular and can get you to places where Skytrain does not go.
  • Tipping is common here and Canadians are generous. At restaurants 18% is considered to be acceptable but 20% is seen more appropriate.
  • If you are renting a car then it is easy to get around as there is lots of parking space. You can either park in parking garage, a lot, on the street for free or metered parking. Prices of parking vary as they depend on neighbourhoods.
